Hand stretch film

The hand stretch film range covers two widths, 400mm and 500mm, across seven micron gauges from 12mu to 30mu, in clear and black. The 400mm width suits lighter hand-wrapping applications and smaller pallet profiles. The 500mm width covers larger load footprints more efficiently, reducing the number of wrapping passes required per pallet. Clear film provides full load visibility, allowing operatives and QC teams to inspect pallet contents without breaking containment. Black film conceals load contents, providing a level of security and deterrence for high-value or pilferage-sensitive consignments. Hand stretch film is supplied on 300mm cores, 6 rolls per case.

Machine stretch film

For operations running turntable or rotary arm stretch wrappers, Eternal Packaging supplies three machine stretch film grades: standard, power and super power. Standard machine grade (MG series) is available in black at 17mu, 20mu and 23mu, a consistent, cost-effective option for medium-throughput automated wrapping lines. Power machine grade (PMGS series) is available in clear from 15mu to 30mu, engineered for high-throughput lines requiring extended film length per roll and reliable pre-stretch performance. Super power machine grade (SPMG series) covers the same micron range in clear and is designed for the most demanding pallet wrapping environments, offering maximum pre-stretch yield and superior load containment under high-speed machine conditions.

Selecting the right specification

Micron selection should reflect the weight and profile of the typical pallet load. Lighter, regular-shaped loads on short distribution runs can be adequately secured with 12mu to 17mu hand or machine film. Mixed or irregular pallets in standard distribution require 20mu to 23mu. Heavy, sharp-edged or high-value loads in demanding logistics environments benefit from 25mu to 30mu specification. All stretch film in the Eternal Packaging range is manufactured from LLDPE (Linear Low-Density Polyethylene), which provides the optimal balance of elongation, puncture resistance and cling required for consistent pallet wrap performance.
